After careful deliberation and thousands of votes, Miguel Sequeira Torres from Ron Centenario has been crowned the “Best Rum Ambassador” of the year, receiving an impressive total of 815 votes.
Miguel Sequeira Torres’s passion and dedication in representing Ron Centenario have made a lasting impact on the rum industry. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the brand have won the hearts of rum enthusiasts, making him a deserving ambassador of this prestigious accolade.
In second place is Sergio Reyes from Don Q Rum, who received 406 votes, while Din Hassan from The Island Rum Company secured the third position with 375 votes. These rum ambassadors have also demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication in their work, earning the respect and admiration of the rum community.
The competition also honored other outstanding rum ambassadors, including Alexandra Rosini from Flor de Caña, Christian Frontanes from Bacardí Rum, and David “Mashynne” Rivera from Rums of Puerto Rico, who received 210, 209, and 174 votes respectively.

As a result, the competition achieved a total of 2649 votes, the largest participation in the history of The Ultimate Awards.

The voting process, known as the “People’s Choice,” added an element of excitement and engagement to the competition. Rum enthusiasts had the opportunity to participate actively by casting their votes for their favorite ambassador. While there can only be one winner, it is important to note that all participants have demonstrated remarkable skills and contributions to the rum industry. Ultimately, they are all winners in their own right.
New York Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will take place at the New York Rum Festival, scheduled to be held on June 10, 2023, at the Metropolitan Pavilion. During the event, the winning rum ambassadors will receive special recognition for their outstanding work in promoting and representing their respective brands.
